il capobianco
Bianco Umbria IGP
DESCRIPTION:
Capobianco is a blend of Chardonnay grapes and a small percentage of Grechetto grapes. It announces itself to the eye with a straw yellow colour, with golden reflections. The nose enchants with an elegant and ample bouquet, where ripe exotic fruit, including aromas of pineapple and banana, alternates with the discreet scent of white flowers. On the palate it is balanced, mineral, beautifully fresh and characterised by a pleasantly savoury finish.
After a short maceration period of 2-4 hours at temperatures close to zero, fermentation begins in steel containers. The wine then matures again in steel for about 9 months and completes its ageing with another 4 months in the bottle before leaving the cellar.
